Responsibilities
Our client, a mutual fund company located
in New York City is seeking an Investment
Analyst to join their Distribution and
Analytics Team. This
individual will not only be responsible for
providing investment related materials and
analyses for the group but also will be
intricately involved in sales presentations
/ conferences and training seminars. This
individual must have superior knowledge of
the mutual fund industry, excellent
analytical skills (ability to calculate
return and risk), knowledge of competitive
landscaping and strong research capability.
The incumbent must be
Series 7 licensed

Analyze
platform offerings using
quantitative and qualitative
analyses
-
Conduct
research to ensure that the
groups database and applications
are kept abreast with the
industry
-
Develop
investment materials for the
distribution group
-
Create
periodic comparisons and
competitive analysis
-
Participate
in sales presentations to third
party firms and financial
advisors periodically – act as
an investment consultant
-
Assist with
training and creating guidelines

Qualifications
-
3 + years
of experience of investment
analysis experience – knowledge
of the mutual fund industry
-
Strong
analytical skills – advanced MS
Excel Skills – formulas, charts
and pivot tables
-
Experience
in finance and investments
-
Bachelors
degree required
-
Masters
degree a plus
-
CFA or CIMA
preferred
