Summer is
definitely here and typically hiring slows down in the summer months. However,
with the past 2 years having so many ups and downs, the summer seems to be
following the unpredictable trends that have become the “norm”. We have seen
hiring picking up within corporations over the past two months and even more so
over the past few weeks. Strong candidates are still available which is making
for nice movement in the marketplace; typically though when a tough market
starts to turn positive, there is usually a lag in speed to market and speed to
hire by employers. Candidates then start to see multiple offers and companies
end up losing the top candidates to a competitive offer. This trend tends to
last 4-6 weeks and then employers adjust their hiring process to realign with
the marketplace. |
