DRUM NEWSLETTER

August 2011 Edition

Good news came out last week that the number of first time unemployment filings fell below 400,000 for the first time in 4 months. Along with this good news some questions arise:   Are people accepting job offers that pay less or that they are over qualified for so that they don’t fall into the unemployment category?  Is it better to take a lower level job to avoid a gap on your resume?  In Shelly K. Schwartz’s article “Falling Down the Career Ladder” she examines these questions and others with regard to unemployment.
